Jewish Foundation for Group Homes, an innovator in residential services for adults with disabilities, has the following positions available:

Direct Care:

OAP Counselor
The OAP Counselor provides drop-in supervision to assist adults with minimal disabilities, develop and maintain independent living skills. The frequency of drop-in visits per week by the OAP Counselor is dependent upon the needs of the apartment residents, and range from 1 to 5 visits per week, 2-2.5 hours per session.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and a valid drivers’ license. The OAP Counselor must be able to pass all background checks including Drug Testing.

MOST Program Counselor
This position is responsible for the direct care of JFGH day program participants. This includes but is not limited to individuals’ health and safety, welfare, personal choice, and the implementation of the IP. The MOST Program Counselor will initiate and promote individuals’ participation in activities necessary to support transitional skills needed to move into adult community services supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and chronic mental health issues. The MOST Program Counselor is a position who will report directly to the MOST Program Administrator.
Qualifications: High School degree or equivalent education/experience and a valid drivers’ license. Must be able to lift 50-100 pounds and be capable of kneeling on the floor to provide assistance to consumers. The Residential Counselor must be able to pass all background checks including Drug Testing. Must be familiar with computers or be willing to take training on computers.

MOST Day Program
Part-time position; Monday - Friday; 9:00am—3:00pm

Residential Counselor (Various Openings)
The Residential Counselor is a position responsible for the direct care of group home and ALU residents, as well as for the physical condition of the home itself. Residential counselors will initiate and promote consumer participation in activities, providing appropriate care and promoting a community oriented environment within the home.
Qualifications: High School degree or equivalent education/experience and a valid drivers’ license. Must be able to lift 50-100 pounds and be capable of kneeling on the floor to provide assistance to consumers. The Residential Counselor must be able to pass all background checks including Drug Testing.

Berlinsky/Young Home
Full-time weekend sleep-over position: Friday – Monday; 4pm-11pm; 5am-8am

Cohen Home
Full-time weekend sleep-over position: Friday – Monday; 4:00pm – 10pm; Sat. & Sun. 7:00am-10pm; Mon. 6:00-9am

Gelman 2
Home Full-time weekday sleep-over position: Monday – Friday; 3:30pm – 11pm; 6:00am – 9:00am

Goldsten Home
Part-time weekday position: Monday—Friday 3pm-8pm

Meisel Group Homes
Full-time weekend sleep-over: Friday—Monday; 4pm-11pm, Sat. & Sun. 8am-11pm, Mon. 6am-9am.

Mendelson 1 Home
Full-time weekend sleep-over position: Friday – Monday; 4:00pm – 11pm; Sat. & Sun. 6:30am-10pm; Mon. 6:30-9:30am Part-time weekday position Monday - Friday; 6:30-9:30am

Rubin Home
Part-time weekend position: Saturday and Sunday 9am-9pm
