Meet Our Volunteers
Annette Schreiber
JFGH volunteer Annette Schreiber received the 2007 Maryland
Association of Community Services (MACS) Award for her
dedication as a volunteer to JFGH at the MACS 2007 Annual
Meeting and Volunteer Awards night on June 13, 2007.
“I was dumbfounded. I had no idea,” Annette said when she
heard she was about to receive the award. “I have always
said that I enjoy working with these people so much and the
cause is so near and dear to my heart.”
Annette left JFGH as a volunteer to return to another job
but was asked to please come back to JFGH in an official
capacity as Development Assistant, a job which she now
fills.
Jonathan Perlman
In summer 2006, Jonathan Perlman visited a JFGH Group Home.
He was so impressed with the facility and taken in by the
warmth and care given to the residents that he soon became a
“friendly visitor” there.
Jonathan now visits with the residents at the Gelman Home.
He plays guitar, reads stories, plays board games, watches
television, or just “hangs out” with his new friends.
Jonathan shows great kindness in sharing his time, talents
and heart within the community.
