MyPad offers high quality affordable housing in great neighborhoods in Montgomery County, Maryland, to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Optional customizable supports and services that are designed by and with MyPad participants are available.


Individuals in this program may receive weekly supports from any service provider.
Supports may include increasing:
• independent living skills
• communication skills
• opportunities for socialization
• organizational skills

Caring and Qualified Staff
JFGH staff is comprised of caring, dedicated and qualified individuals who are carefully interviewed and screened. Staff that provide direct support are required to take a minimum of 40 hours of training including, but not limited to, CPR and first aid, intellectual and developmental disabilities, human rights and Jewish customs.

Individuals cannot receive Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) funding for housing. DDA funds may, however, be used for supports.

Q: Are there opportunities to socialize?
A: Yes! MyPad offers a Monthly Mingle to foster friendship among peers.
Q: How long is the duration of the lease?
A: Subleases are 12 months and are renewed annually.
Q: Do I have to have a roommate?
A: While the majority of MyPad participants elect to have a roommate, it is possible to rent an entire apartment for a single person.
